US Sourcing Manager

The Role

We are looking for a US Sourcing Manager based in Los Angeles to work on a new project in the USA. Attracting and developing new suppliers to manufacture goods for the boohoo group of brands, manufacturing within the Americas and beyond, and therefore geographically closer to the boohoo group DC in the USA. You will ensure competitive cost prices, speed, low MOQ's whilst ensuring boohoo group Code of Conduct is adhered to.

Responsible Sourcing and Product Operations is reimagining how the Group works globally. We cover Sustainability, Sourcing, Ethical Trade, Product Quality and Operational Efficiency. We turn challenges into opportunities so we can be as commercially and operationally effective as possible while still being ethical and sustainable! What you'll be doing

• Attracting and developing new suppliers to manufacture goods for the booboo group of brands, manufacturing within the Americas and therefore geographically closer to the boohoo group DC in the USA.
• Ensuring competitive cost prices, speed, low MOQ's whilst ensuring boohoo group Code of Conduct is adhered to.
• Work with LA based suppliers to source local product on cash and carry terms if required by the brands to maximise trading opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the UK based sourcing and brand buying teams to commercially validate new suppliers and ensure costing and sampling exercises are completed speedily and comprehensively.
• Sponsor new suppliers through the new supplier approval process and ensure all relevant compliance checks are completed by the Ethical, Product Compliance and Finance Teams.
• Ensure communication with potential new suppliers is regular and consistent and supplier has comprehensive feedback to develop their business with boohoo.
• Support the Head of Sourcing to follow through on the Sourcing & Compliance partnership meetings with the UK Buying Teams, ensure meetings capture agenda points, and actions followed through.
• Ensure existing boohoo supply base is developed and introduced to new sourcing geographies to develop product category opportunities as they arise.
• Work collaboratively with the other regional Sourcing hubs to ensure Boohoo group sourcing strategy is delivered.
• Work collaboratively with the Product and Environmental Sustainability Teams to support the delivery of our sustainability goals and objectives.
• Support the Product Compliance and QC Teams in investigating and resolving any quality issues as they arise.
• Work with the wider Sourcing, Compliance, Business Transformation and Product Operations teams to support the delivery of Boohoo group projects, new systems and ways of working implementation.
