AvidXchange Summer Internship Program Overview

Throughout the program, Interns develop and grow through a series of experiences such as:

• Building business acumen to understand who we are, what we do, and the history of AvidXchange
• Establishing relationships with mentors and Intern Alumni, meeting with senior leaders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to complete a capstone project.
• Volunteer opportunities to give back to the communities where live and work
• Workshops and learning experiences to learn more about our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone belongs.

Location Preference:

• Charlotte, NC with a work-from-home flexibility with 2-3 days in the office
• Student Intern Housing available within the Charlotte and surrounding area

Internship Term/Duration:

Our summer internship program is a 9-week experience that will provide potential AvidXers with practical work experience and the chance to contribute to business results.The summer internship program begins with orientation onJune 6thand concludeson August 4th. All internships are paid opportunities.

Job Overview:

As a Product Design intern, you will embrace the vision for AvidXchange, work on design solutions for customer and business problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create product experiences that aim to be intuitive and efficient for our users. We are a collaborative, diverse team of designers, researchers, and writers who value winning as a team and innovating to change the industry. If you are excited about working in an organization that values the power of design and wants to work with the most supportive team you can find, this is the role for you. Our team is mostly on the east coast, but we are open to candidates within commutable distance of our regional office locations.

What you will do:

• Transform customer and business objectives into compelling designs in collaboration with senior designers and leaders on the team.
• Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge with a bias for action.
• Manage your work from end to end, discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototype designs.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers.
• Clearly present your designs, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Partner with Research to ensure that design concepts meet our customers' needs and deliver the desired results.
• Champion cohesion and consistency by delivering designs that promote our organization's experience strategy and use of the design system.
• Nurture AvidXchange culture and principles within your team and the design practice.

Education Requirements

• Expected graduation December 2023 or May 2024
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, major or cumulative
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• All majors are welcome to apply:
