Vascular Surgery PCU, Student Nurse Tech - PRN

• Currently enrolled in an RN School of Nursing and have completed one (1) semester of a fundamental medical/surgical clinical
• Minimum of 2 shifts every six weeks– Rotating
• Days:  7 am–7 pm 
• Nights:  7 pm–7 am
• Holiday Rotation
• Weekend Rotation

Division 7500/75PCU is a fast paced Cardiovascular Surgery division made up of 25 beds with a mix of step down and pcu beds. We care for a variety of complex cardiovascular surgery patients including aortic and abdominal aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, carotid artery disease, aorto–iliac and lower extremity occlusive disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia surgery, endoscopic coronary artery revascularization, valve repair and many more. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to continually assess the patients'; status. The Staff Nurse (RN) is trained in critical care and will be certified in BLS, ACLS, ACUTE CARE, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires.

Role Purpose

Provides multi–skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.
