Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Vice President, Java Developer in Jersey City, NJ.

Participate in the SDLC lifecycle, including requirement gathering, analysis and design, development, deployment, and support. Provide direction on software development and technical assistance. Work with business stakeholders to determine the requirements for projects and new features, and analyze and design solutions to satisfy those requirements. Respond to business requests for help with application technical changes and handle escalations from the support team to resolve issues. Build trading platform middleware. Develop applications involving sprint planning design, code review, and

interfacing with business and technology leads to deliver business requirements.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $194,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or Three (3) years as a Associate Director, Software Engineer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Java (full stack) and core Java; Spring; Design Patterns; Integrations Patterns; FIX; designing scalable, resilient and low latency trading solution systems; software development lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis and design, development, deployment, and maintenance; applying Agile methodology for solution builds; Scrum; CI/CD pipeline; Spring boot; Apache Camel; FIX Protocol and FIX Engine; Message Queue Test Driven Development; document disaster recovery plan; Agile; Enterprise Design Patterns; Apache KAFKA; JUNIT; React-JS; Equity and options product order entry and executions flow; and capital markets business and trading domains.
