The Role

Vice President, Human Resources 

The ​​Honest Company is in search of a Vice President, Human Resources to strategically direct HR initiatives as they relate to business goals and performance. As a Vice President, Human Resources you’ll be an important thought leader to the organization. You’ll form effective relationships across the organization as you guide management decisions, serve as an employee champion, and strategically anticipate, analyze and respond to HR-related matters. What you’ll do:

  • Be a thought partner to Chief People Officer and assist in organizational effectiveness, business analysis and make recommendations to improve processes and policies
  • Build strong relationships across the business and provide HR Business Support to various leaders and functions within the organization 
  • Use expertise to guide operational decisions across the organization
  • Provide oversight to the compensation process and benefits 
  • Assist in talent management and bring solutions to help retain top talent 
  • Compile monthly and quarterly HR reports for the executive leadership team 
  • Support employee engagement efforts with the goal of a providing best-in-class employee experience

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree - bonus
  • 15+ years experience in relevant HR positions
  • 8+ years of leadership experience 
  • Strong leadership presence with exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Expertise in organizational effectiveness, redesign, strategic HR Business Partner work, talent management, and employee relations. 
  • Proven ability to present technical HR information to leadership in clear, compelling terms
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity within the business and provide solutions to better the business 
  • Strong background in building out employee programs and initiatives from the ground up
  • Must be able to navigate ambiguity and a dynamic, fast pace culture
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and responsibilities in parallel while also managing and building a high-performing team 

Bonus points for:

  • PHR or SPHR certification

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $154,000- $215,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
