What You Will Be Doing
The Content Creator will combine text, audio, animation, images, and video to create educational content for internal and external customers. This role will coordinate with cross functional teams to incorporate best practices, examples, and other value enhancing ideas to promote customer and user adoption. You will collaborate with technical writers, instructional designers, and illustrators to develop interactive and impactful training experiences. To be successful at ChargePoint this person must be highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Create tutorial videos including script, audio, screen recording, onscreen design elements, etc. and ensure content is updated on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and other stakeholders to develop and load content within the learning management system (LMS), MadCap Central, and/or other delivery platforms.
- Design and deliver creative content to build knowledge of end users to successfully use ChargePoint solutions and applications.
- Develop digital communications content, such as infographics, how to videos, microlearning moments, etc.
- Prototype, develop, and test learner-centric digital learning experiences and materials in a variety of delivery modalities.
- Run UAT on new content, systems, process, or feature ideas.
- Continuously explore innovative ways of utilizing design material to engage audiences while transferring skills/knowledge and driving sustainable behavior change.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years of working experience in content creation with specialty in educational video design and development
- Experience with video editing, trimming footage, and inserting graphics using modern editing software required (Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, and/or Adobe Premiere)
- Proficient with image manipulation using Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator, or similar applications
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts
- Demonstrated ability to distill information from subject matter experts and translate it into training relevant to target audience
- Familiarity with authoring tools such as such as MadCap Flare, Articulate, or Captivate; HTML and CSS experience a plus
- Must be able to manage own projects and workflows
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools is a plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines
