Job Description
As a Visualization Engineer - Visualization Desktop Infrastructure, you’ll support Government activities in Washington, D.C., Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. As a VDI Engineer supporting the Government, you will be charged with engineering solutions for baseline VDI builds to ensure upgrades are incorporated before the operating system (OS) end-of-life.

What you’ll do:
- Engineer, design, test, implement, maintain, secure, and full life-cycle management of the complex Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in the large Enterprise environment.
- Design and support Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud and hybrid.
- Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Engineer, implement, mitigate, monitor, and tune VDI environment and management software to obtain Authorize To Operate (ATO) for new VDI solution
- Manage Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning).
- Operate and execute scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
- Provide Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)).
- Prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projects.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies.
- Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM).
- Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover.
- Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures.
- Expertise in the Windows 10 area – Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
- Required certifications: CWS-215: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Administration On-Premises and in Citrix Cloud and Azure.
- A TS/SCI with a CI Poly, minimum
- Â Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience
