Visual Designer (Hybrid)

The Role

We’re looking for a well-rounded Visual Designer (Digital) to join the Telnyx in-house design team.

The ideal candidate for this role is multifaceted—with passion for both visual design of UI and design systems as well as graphics and illustration. In collaboration with our creative director, this designer will be responsible for helping to drive visual design enhancements on telnyx.com and developers.telnyx.com.

Responsibilities

• Help to grow and refine our digital design system, adding and improving UI elements and ideating on net new components.
• Help to build out a robust library of visual artifacts to convey details about our products and provide a delightful experience for our users. 
• Collaborate with our content team to support storytelling through design—communicating key ideas to our customers and empowering the understanding of innovations in our space.
• Collaborate with other designers, developers, product managers, content strategists, copywriters, and marketers to create intuitive, thoughtfully designed experiences.
• Drive brand cohesion while also producing fresh ideas to engage and inspire our audiences.
• Stay up-to-date on new tooling and digital design industry trends to inform and elevate the presentation of our brand and products.

• User-focused and strategically-driven design thinking

Technical requirements

• BA or BFA in design or other related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a primarily digital, visual design role at an agency or in-house design team within the tech space
• A portfolio demonstrating an excellent design sensibility, versatility, and proven expertise in visual design skills including typography, color and composition
• Strong skills in design concepting and visual problem solving
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Great communication, time management skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of responsive design best practices and accessibility
• Strong skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and G Suite. Basic animation skills are a plus.
• Preference for a candidate based in Amsterdam or Denver

Salary is in the range of $60,000 - $70,000 with benefits info below:
