We are looking for a communications leader passionate about helping everyone discover the benefits of electric mobility.
Role
The leader is responsible for global communications and social media strategy and execution. This person will drive technology category positioning and thought leadership, managing resources including the communications and social media team, agency partners and budget to deliver a proactive media strategy that reaches multiple audiences in ChargePoint operating geographies across North America and Europe. This includes media, partners, businesses, fleets and drivers, policy influencers, the financial community, employees and prospective ChargePointers. The candidate has expertise in effectively communicating results that influence business outcomes.Â
- Strategic communications capability, expert in establishing foundation and technology positioning across continents, raising visibility and advising C-suite on dynamics of public markets; can develop an effective narrative amid a dynamic landscape in a high growth market.
- Experience building voice for a leading company and preparing leadership for new levels of market visibility. Proven ability to educate a market and enlist the ecosystem in education to advance leadership in the category. Thought leadership with focus on increasing visibility of ChargePoint as a premium technology brand with differentiation and personality.
- Understanding of the craft of storytelling; can lead agency partners and cross-functional teams to create a halo brand story around what ChargePoint stands for as a market leader
- People leadership with an eye toward developing team and attracting new talent to scale company through next phase of growth
- Demonstrated mastery of media and brand relationships; can create a vibe for the brand with media and partners to create credibility and differentiation. Experience across corporate, business, policy, tech, consumer media.
- Has implemented communications that resonate with a multi-generational audience that cares deeply about sustainability. Must have experience in green and consumer-facing storytelling.
- Understands the intersection between a company’s culture and effective internal communications that inform, inspire and engage employees
- Facility in communications functional leadership (including strategic planning, execution, budgeting, agency management)
- Proven experience managing a rolling schedule of deadlines and output in multiple time zones and languages
- Track record in executing a regular cadence of legally required communications activity in a public company – including but not limited to earnings calls, annual reporting, investor-facing communications, financial PR, and supporting C-suite in their own visibility
