Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Agency committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this agency, our Paid Media Team is focused on achieving growth by making data-driven decisions to create meaningful interactions with existing and potential customers. We are seeking an VP, Media Strategy to serve as owner and internal evangelist across paid and unpaid channels. This role will lead digital planning activities across the marketing ecosystem, ensuring optimal mix to deliver against business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategy development , partnering closely analytics to ensure delivery and optimization against marketing analysis - including segmentation, forecasting and ROI measurement .
  • Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with platform owners and in-house agency partners to ensure optimal channel distribution, orchestration and performance
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Consistently update leadership on key opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
  • Proactively investigate media opportunities and craft well-supported, articulate POVs to present to stakeholders internally
  • Define marketplace and research needs, priorities and scope analyz es results and determines actionable takeaway
  • Partner with other channel team leads to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for the enterprise
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
  • Drives innovation across organization, working to ensure sharing new opportunities with business lines.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, HS Diploma/ GED and 11 + years marketing experience
  • 7+ years of experience in developing multi-channel digital strategy, including paid search, paid social, display and programmatic media
  • 4+ years of experience managing people
  • Experience with campaign tracking, tagging, and measurement and analytics tools like Google Analytics, Tableau and LiveRamp
  • Knowledge of key performance metrics against diverse marketing goals, and how to apply those KPIs to media execution and optimization


Desired Characteristics:
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience in financial services, retail or healthcare industry
  • 5+ years of agency experience in a media strategy role
  • S trong understanding of technical requirements, including tracking pixels, data integrations, etc. as it applies to paid media capabilities
  • S trong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Experience in direct response campaign execution

Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
