The Role
The VP of Sales is responsible for owning Billd's territory expansion strategy which includes customer acquisition and deepening wallet share with existing customers. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing new strategies to scale Billd's territory presence throughout the US. This person should have experience launching new territories, developing centers of influence strategies, and be obsessed with delivering a world class customer experience. The ideal candidate has experience with consumption-based pricing models and has a proven track record of building, developing and leading high performing sales teams.
This person must thrive on working cross-functionally across many departments including marketing, operations, credit, product/technology and legal. While an executive role, it is important that this person have a "roll up your sleeves" mentality, excited to own complex issues we will face scaling Billd from 5 to 20+ US cities over the next several years.
What You'll Do
  • Own customer acquisition and revenue performance in territories where Billd is active
  • Optimize the existing sales motion to increase new customer velocity, reduce churn, and limit credit losses
  • Launch new territories to meet customer acquisition and revenue goals
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of Territory Managers throughout the US
  • Build COI strategy pertaining to building material suppliers, GC's, insurance brokers, bankers, etc. to generate referrals.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years managing and scaling outside sales teams throughout the US
  • Preferred to have experience selling into the construction or finance industries
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience using technology tools like Salesforce and Slack
