Job Summary
FreeWheel seeks a VP of US Revenue, Demand, based in New York, NY, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. In this role you will oversee integrated demand sales across all facets of FreeWheel's ad server, programmatic exchange, and demand-side platform, Beeswax. This role is pivotal in unifying FreeWheel's technological offerings into a cohesive vertical sales approach targeting all demand partnerships, with a focus on agencies and marketers. The ideal candidate will leverage FreeWheel's premium video supply clients, ensuring supply chain consistency, financial and operational transparency and strategic growth in the Streaming/CTV and digital video landscape.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a unified demand strategy that integrates ad server, programmatic exchange and DSP sales
- Consistently deliver high-quality results, turning strategic vision into action with a focus on efficiency and beating deadlines
- Collaborate with FreeWheel's senior leadership to align demand strategy with overall business goals
- Ensure optimal alignment with FreeWheel's VP of US Revenue, Supply
- Distill complex narratives into simple, actionable opportunities
- Drive growth by identifying new revenue opportunities and optimizing existing channels
- Elevate FreeWheel's visibility through thought leadership and industry relationships with decision-makers
Sales and Revenue Management
- Lead and manage the Beeswax sales and revenue strategy, ensuring optimal integration with FreeWheel's existing agency demand team and initiatives
- Oversee the development and execution of vertical sales strategies to maximize growth from agency holding companies (AHCs), independent agencies and in-house marketers
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
Team Leadership
- Manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, clarity of role and support to achieve team and individual goals
- Foster collaboration and education across a cross-functional group of sales leaders and account executives, aligning incentives and value proposition
- Ensure the team is fully staffed with top talent by overseeing recruitment, onboarding and development processes
- Foster a results-driven culture, promoting professional growth and development within the team
Client and Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including AHCs, independent agencies, demand networks and major marketers
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and promote new product offerings
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support, addressing any issues promptly and effectively
Operational Excellence
- Implement best practices and processes to ensure efficient and effective demand operations
- Oversee the integration and utilization of data and technology to enhance demand activation and campaign performance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest levels of transparency, trust and integrity with clients and partners
About You
- Empathetic leader with exceptional EQ, ensuring strong, collaborative relationships
- Inquisitive student of the industry with a quest for learning
- 15+ years proven experience in sales leadership within the digital advertising and programmatic space
- Deep knowledge of how programmatic integrations impact buy-side performance and sell-side monetization; proven success in optimization for both sides of the transaction
- Demonstrated success in explaining complex technical details in easy-to-understand language
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing revenue from complex sales operations
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Deep experience with FreeWheel, Beeswax, or similar advertising technology platforms is highly desirable

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $287,329.92 - $430,994.88
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Targeted Commission: $165,000
Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
