Job Description
The Fayetteville, NC Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Primary Care Physician for the Women’s Health Clinic. The North Carolina Coastal Healthcare System provides healthcare services to approximately 80,000 Veterans in a 19-county area of southeastern North Carolina. Our facilities include the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, two healthcare centers—one in Fayetteville and one in Wilmington, and 9 outpatient clinics.
Patient appointments are scheduled in 30-minute increments for follow-up patients and 1 hour for intake patients. The Women’s Health Clinic provides the following services:
- Health screening
- Blood pressure screening
- Cholesterol screening
- Breast exam
- Pelvic exam
- Pap smear
- Hormone/contraceptive therapy
- Women's specific patient education
- Hormone/contraceptive therapy
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm, no weekends or call
- Approximately 1K female veteran patient panel; 8–12 patients daily on average

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year.
Paid Time Off:50-55 days of vacation time per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting)
Federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
