Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Workflow Engineer to assist in implementing & maintaining the wide variety of immigration workflows in our digital immigration case management platform. Workflow Engineers will build key pieces of various global immigration applications for both constructions of new immigration workflows and the modification of existing ones. We are hiring engineers who will write the schema, markup, and flow logic for many of the automated processes within our app and also can test and document user stories of the configured immigration case with efficiency. We use XML, HTML, and Hylang primarily, but are considering any candidate who demonstrates an ability to learn and adapt to new languages and system tools quickly.
How you will make a difference as a Workflow Engineer with Fragomen:
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to gain familiarity with a variety of immigration requirements and processes around the world to be able to implement standard processes in the system.
- Support different teams to understand workflow functionality and risks with new platform features, update of current features and integrations with other systems.
- Design & implement new immigration/work authorization questionnaires.
- Automate immigration processes for consumers and business clients.
- Iterate on updates in tandem with design, product & other engineering teams.
- Write scalable workflows with a focus on reusability.
- Adapt & learn new technologies.
Let's talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:
- 2+ years relevant work experience.
- Strong ability to self-direct and take ownership in a remote working environment.
- Working knowledge of XML and HTML.
- Strong ability to analyze complicated processes and problem solve.
- Some programming experience.
- Experience with version control systems (preferably git).
- Strong understanding of good DRY principles.
- Basic understanding of industry security practices.
- Basic knowledge of Jinja templates.
- Effective team-work skills.
- Familiarity with Django (specifically Django Admin) is nice-to-have
- Demonstrated ability to draft and read flowcharts is preferred
- Familiarity with web-based applications is nice-to-have
- Familiarity with Python is nice-to-have
