Job Description

Your Mission
As a working student for the Technical Team, your mission is to advance the Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms onboard Spectrum’s Avionics, with a special focus on reusability scenarios. Drawing upon your academic expertise and innovative mindset, you will advance a GNC system for the purpose of an ongoing development program. 

More specifically, you will:

  • Keep up with and report industry trends related to reusability  
  • Advance the GNC system in terms of onboard trajectory optimization and control & navigation algorithms
  • Document your progress
  • Communicate with other teams with respect to requirements and results
  • Perform Monte-Carlo analyses
  • Support integrated test across different departments

Who you are and what you have

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or similar experience
  • Currently enrolled in a corresponding master’s degree
  • Experience in development and validation of algorithms in the field of Guidance, Navigation and Control
  • Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.) 
  • Proficiency in data analysis in frequency and time domain
  • Experience in C/C++ flight software development   
  • Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German

  • Participated actively in a rocketry working student group
  • Knowledge about optimization problems
  • Hands-on / test experience
  • Knowledge about GIT version control
