Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assigning work based upon priorities, selective consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee's capabilities.
Experience establishing prevention activities and leading or supporting program evaluation and performance assessment activities by addressing critical prevention program implementation elements to include: the development and interpretation of program and climate assessments and identification of prevention program goals, objectives, measures of performance and effectiveness, assessments, and milestones.
Experience overseeing, reviewing, and directing prevention actions and projects across programs and ensuring completion dates are met within established timeframes.
Experience evaluating, consulting, and advising in a variety of settings, thereby promoting a healthy and resilient climate towards the prevention of destructive and problematic behaviors to include suicide, sexual harassment and assault, substance misuse, and family, interpersonal, and workplace violence.
Experience identifying needs, trends, and performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and providing recommendations for process improvements.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess.
Basic Requirements
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. -OR-
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. -OR-
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
