Summary About the position: This is a Regular Part-Time category position located at theResource Management Supply Warehouse, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. This position offers 32 guaranteed hours per week, but the incumbent may be required to work up to 40 hours per week, as needed.The incumbent must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires the incumbent to be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This position requires the incumbent to be able to possess a valid US state driver’s license upon application and obtain a USAFE driving permit within 30 days of appointment. This position is designated as a Drug Testing Position (TDP) and is subject to a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing thereafter. A person is considered to be 'ordinarily resident' if they have resided in the United Kingdom (UK) for more than 366 days without an affiliation to the US Visiting Forces. Time spent in the UK as an employee, or dependent of an employee, of a US agency serving and supporting the US Visiting Forces (i.e., active duty military, federal civilian, AAFES, Red Cross, one of the contract universities, a military banking facility or federal credit union, or US government contractors) is not counted toward being 'ordinary resident'. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between the US and the UK, British citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, they may be eligible to apply for local national positions on base. Dual US/UK citizens may apply for US NAF positions if they have a valid US passport. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience (MUST be supported in your resume): Must have experience performing the following duties: Compiling data in Excel spreadsheets to maintain inventory stock levels; AND applying critical thinking skills to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks; AND organizing daily paperwork on a computer-based filing system. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
