Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Assists in the development of policy and procedures that support effective execution of advisement to promote the academic, career, personal and social development of authorized patrons. Policies and procedures will help evaluate abilities and interests, talents and personalities to develop realistic academic and career goals that are supported with appropriate financial plans to enable achievement. Evaluates and interprets data to identify and clarify issues and concerns; determines appropriate course of action to positively affect work/life relationships, mission readiness, recruitment and retention. Conducts, organizes and provides program analysis and economic analyses to ensure functional needs are met for programs and services. Recommends corrective actions and supports follow up inspections. Assists in the development of plans for current and projected programs to achieve goals and objectives. Collects, verifies and adjusts data from diverse sources and performs qualitative analysis. Prepares reports and input for budgets for the personal and professional development programs. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts higher level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety and other environmental issues and programs. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical workweek and work hours. May require travel to complete work assignments. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.  Performs other related duties as required.    QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree is highly preferred. Bachelor¿s Degree in Education, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Personal Financial Management or related field is required. Must have a minimum of three years experience in, or related to, career planning, employment services, personal financial management, direct advisement of students, curriculum design, and/or instructing. Ability to communicate effectively (writing, listening, speaking). Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact, diplomacy, and overall professionalism. Must be able to operate a personal computer, printer, etc., and have current knowledge in various office computer programs and software applications. Ability to collect, evaluate, and disseminate information and assess and measure organizations¿ and other serviced populations¿ trends, concerns, and needs Ability to evaluate, plan, and implement training systems for both in classroom and online instruction and delivery. Understanding and use of current education practices in career advisement. Skilled in program design, implementation, and management. Ability to plan, organize, instruct and facilitate educational courses of quality. Ability to relate to a diverse student population. Ability to operate a personal computer, printer, etc., and have current knowledge in various office computer programs and software applications. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience in education, career and personal financial management development strategies for diverse higher education populations. Experience in resume writing. Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people. Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification or willingness to potentially obtain certification. Experience in program analysis and evaluation.
