Supervisory Bar Manager

Summary This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position will be assigned to the Community Services Facility at Wright-Patterson, AFB. Supervises all bartenders & bar assistants to include selecting, establishing work schedules, assigning work, approving/disapproving leave request; maintaining discipline; preparing performance evaluations and award recommendations. Must be willing to provide proof of status as a U.S. citizen or Non-U.S. National. Must meet specified residency criteria. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in operation, administrative or supervisory/managerial position in a bar or similar establishment. The experience must include responsibility or supervision over the bar operations. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to communicate effective orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
