Summary
This announcement will be used to fill vacancies for various facilities within FMWR on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. These facilities include: Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard Area, Chena Bend Golf Course, Warrior Zone and more!
Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a medical examination.
Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
Must be able to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays as required.
Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Stands for prolonged periods,
Work is performed indoors.
Exposed to cuts and bruises.
Qualifications
Must meet state/local age requirements (21) for the serving of alcohol at the time of appointment.
Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.
Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change.
Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action.
Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

PCS Costs
Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives may be paid but are not guaranteed.
Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
