Summary This position is in the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, an AFRC Facility in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavarian Alps, Germany. Prepares and serves food items, including, but not limited to, hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, lemonade drinks, etc. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Collects sales slips and totals sales on a cash register. Accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position A pre-employment physical is required Must be willing to work irregular work schedule (nights/weekends/holidays) Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally­ controlled facilities. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. The applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools and equipment as described, which generally require no prior training or work experience. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, hold a valid U.S. passport, and be at least 18 years of age. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. Education High School graduate or equivalent. Additional information This is a limited tenure position not to exceed 15 months. It is an unaccompanied program because we cannot provide logistical support to family members. Dorm-style housing is provided in lieu of a living quarters allowance. Transportation to and from Germany is provided in accordance with the terms of the Joint Travel Regulation and the executed transportation agreement. Military spouses and family members currently residing within the Garmisch Military Community who apply under this announcement will be considered for a regular appointment. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. A probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligibility. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the government's interest. LQA is not authorized.
