Summary District of Columbia Air National Guard Joint Base Andrews, MD Electronic Intergrated Systems Mechanic Supervisor WS-2610-13 Group 3-Current or former uniformed service members (Active, Reserve, Guard) nationwide who are eligible for military membership in the (DCANG)/(DCARNG) **THIS IS NOT A CIVILIAN POSITION. MILITARY MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED** Requirements Conditions of Employment National Guard Membership is required. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military rank and assignment in the District of Columbia Air National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate possesses the ability to perform on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems. Candidate also has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the craftsman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Please be advised: 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.
