Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category/Critical Need, 5 U.S.C. 9902(b)(2), 6/6/2017 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as a Senior Realty Specialist for one of the branches established within the Real Estate Division and carries out a variety of assigned projects involving the civil and military real estate program within the District. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Temporary Duty (TDY) of up to 10% of the time. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialist Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing major land acquisitions or out granting actions for military and civil lands; managing projects with a greater scope and effect which involve acquisition of multiple ownership tracts of land; working disposals, land exchanges, or major leases involving extensive or sensitive negotiations. This definition of specialized experience must be equivalent to the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute education, but for this position, you must meet the specialized experience. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
