Summary About the position: This position is located at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts. This is a crafts and trades position. Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time. Flexible Position. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge or a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters. and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks. Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. be able to follow cash handling procedures. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
