Summary This position is located at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Germany. Sonographers will perform a variety of complex ultrasound examinations on obstetric, fetal, and gynecological patients to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of structural and functional abnormalities. This includes fetal echocardiography, genetic ultrasound, maternal/fetal vascular studies, and 2D/3D/4D imaging. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as performing a wide range of complex ultrasound examinations, with a primary focus on obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic patients. This includes assisting physicians in the diagnosis and management of structural and functional abnormalities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. License/Certification: For this position a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers License for Obstetrics and Gynecology is required. RDMS Fetal Echocardiography certification is preferred. Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
