Summary ** Announcement amended 7/3/2025 to extend closing date** About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Golf Course. 0-40 hours per week Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and be able to drive. Must be at least 18 years of age Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of: basic electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems. Requires understanding of agronomy, turfgrass science and the rules of golf; knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work; ability to operate light motorized equipment; and ability to follow oral and written directions. Education This position not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.
