You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Annual cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification is required. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION such as: * Ability to assist in repair and maintain the VLF antenna network; annual inspection programs, change oil in gear boxes, grease sheaves on top of towers, etc. *Ability to climb up to 980 feet in height while carrying his trade tools. *Ability to use small hand tools, power assist equipment, and motor vehicle equipment. *Ability to perform work on the towers where only spot checks of work accomplishment will be made due to the difficulty of climbing towers. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information This is a permanent seasonal position. Typical duration of employment is April to October. T3 background investigation required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
