Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or unique events. Have the ability to perform work that requires standing, stooping, bending, stretching, crawling under vehicles, and working in tight spaces or tiring and uncomfortable positions. Must be physically able to occasionally lifts items 50 pounds or more with mechanical devices or with assistance from other workers. Qualifications All candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications: possess a high school diploma or the equivalent from a trade school (must be uploaded at the time of application), AND possess creditable job related experience in automotive repair, AND possess six (6) months of progressively general experience, AND and a minimum of six (6) months of specialized experience in automotive work, AND possess a basic knowledge of automotive repair, AND ability to use standard and metric automotive hand and powered tools, AND ability to operate a motor vehicle, AND currently have, or obtain by the start of employment, a valid driver's license.
