Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Bowling Center. This is a flexible category position, with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hours per week. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighting up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to obtain a Food/Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations. This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position has physical requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. 2. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when food are done is required. **NOTE: Those qualified applicants who meet both the minimum qualification requirement(s) and highly preferred criteria(s) will be considered best qualified for this position and will be referred to the selecting official(s) first for consideration.
