ANESTHESIOLOGIST

The VA medical center at Togus, Maine is seeking two full-time, Anesthesiologists to work with 3 full-time Anesthesiologists, 5.5 Certified Nurse Anesthetist, and 1.0 Nurse Practioner. Additional sub-specialization in Pain Management is valued but not required. General call is shared by all equally, and the case load consists of Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Eyes, ENT, Urology, Vascular and Interventional Radiology. While we have an immediate need, the start date may be flexible. Hours are a compressed tour: 7:00am – 5:30pm, four days a week with a day off.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
