Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques, conflict management skills, and a strong understanding of security practices. The Armed Security Officer will work in various settings, ensuring the protection of assets, persons, and client locations while providing excellent customer service.
Information
• Candidate must be willing to work or night shift.
• Candidate must provide their own firearm
• Candidate must own their own personal vehicle and drivers license to get to work locations.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve disputes effectively.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security protocols and best practices.
• Provide access control services, granting entry only to residents, their visitors, or persons with a valid reason for entry.
• Operate a company issued motor vehicle
Experience
• Valid armed security license is required.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems is advantageous.
• Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for reporting incidents accurately.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred; certification will be provided.
