Summary
You will serve as a Blocker and Bracer in the Material Management Department Mid-Atlantic of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You “may” be coded as “key” and as such may be required to be removed from your military recall status. A signed statement of understanding required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator license
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a government vehicle operator permit.

Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to perform common tasks for a Blocker & Bracer, as demonstrated by experience, working under close supervision following procedures to select proper materials to take measurements, cuts and installing blocking, bracing, wedges, etc., to prevent shifting; securing chock blocks and side plates to prevent movement in transit; utilizing a variety of wooden boxes, crates, pallets, skids, braces, chock blocs, and special containers; using a variety of hand/power tools to work with wood.
