PAY RANGE:The pay range for this role is $75,000 - $79,432 per year.
Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Position Overview
• The Brand Event Manager is a key contributor to Sharks Sports & Entertainment’s mission of creating unforgettable fan experiences that deepen engagement and elevate the team brand. This role is responsible for planning and executing dynamic, year-round brand activations, ranging from large-scale community events to sponsor-driven initiatives and in-game activations.
• Reporting to the Manager of Event Presentation, this position works cross-functionally with the Revenue Functions at SSE, including Marketing, Events, Game Presentation, and Corporate Partnerships teams to ensure all events and activations are aligned with brand standards and organizational goals. On game days, the Brand Event Manager plays a critical role in delivering impactful in-arena experiences that energize fans and reinforce team loyalty.
• The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, strategic planner, and skilled collaborator with a strong background in experiential marketing, event production, and brand storytelling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ideate, create, plan, manage, and execute branded events throughout the calendar year, with a focus on innovation, fan engagement, and alignment with the Sharks core values and brand identity. Ultimately, fan satisfaction scores will be inform KPIs along with meeting or exceeding cultivating entertaining experiences.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally with Events, Marketing, Game Presentation, Community Relations, and Corporate Partnerships to ensure cohesive execution and brand consistency across all touchpoints.
• Support in-arena brand activations and presentations during home games, enhancing the live fan experience and contributing to a high-energy atmosphere.
• Conceptualize and implement creative brand integrations within team and partner events, ensuring a consistent look, feel, and tone.
• Manage relationships with sponsors, vendors, agencies, and other external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, on-brand experiences.
• Oversee event logistics including budgeting, timelines, staffing, and production details; ensure events are executed on time and within budget.
• Track KPIs and compile post-event recaps, analyzing performance and recommending optimizations for future activations.
• Stay current with trends in sports marketing, live entertainment, and fan engagement to bring forward fresh, innovative ideas.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Sports Management, or related field; or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in experiential marketing, live event production, or brand activation—ideally within the sports, entertainment, or lifestyle industries.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and interfacing with external partners.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, project management, and follow-through skills.
• Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the NHL season and for major events.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar) is a plus.
• Passion for sports and a deep understanding of fan culture and the value of brand storytelling.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
• Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
• Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
• Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
• May be required to travel to other company locations
• May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
