Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position: • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience • Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work. • Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems. • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under stress, and meet short deadlines. • Must have a professional demeanor, positive attitude and strong work ethic. • Good communication skills (oral and written). • Must be punctual and dependable. • Must have basic computer skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Performs planned maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc. ● Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants. Requests may include plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing and electrical service calls. Diagnoses building management/energy management systems for faults and errors. ● Assists other technicians in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems. Interprets blueprints and schematic drawings. ● Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately. Takes readings from nominal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs. ● Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner. ● Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests. ● Works on and completes all facility team-based goals. WORKING CONDITIONS • Work may be performed outdoors subject to extreme heat and cold, noise, vibrations and dust, fumes and oils. • Must have the ability to wear a portable respirator and adhere to all company safety requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT • Must have the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly. • Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 • pounds frequently and 80 pounds occasionally. • Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffold; kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, • twist, finger, grasp and feel on a constant and repetitive basis; stand, walk, talk, see (20/20 vision naturally or • corrected), hear within normal range and perform repetitive motion activities. • Must be able to physically negotiate the hazards of a building, mechanical space, electrical space, plumbing • space, crawl space, pit, and attic (e.g. uneven surfaces.) Start Date:7:00AM End Date:4:00PM • Special Tools or PPE Needed:Steel Toe boots, safety glasses, and gloves. • Special Site Instructions:If hired on after satisfactory work will need a Texas license. • Badging Requirements:Will require background check to get badge.
