Chair Dept of OB GYN

Tower Health/Reading Hospital is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This is an awesome opportunity for a highly accomplished physician leader with a strong background in clinical care to lead the department and shape the future of patient care and education. The Chair will also assume the role of Physician Lead for the Women and Children Service Line at Tower Health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategic Oversight: Guide the Obstetrics & Gynecology department, ensuring excellence in clinical care, education, and service delivery, while fostering a culture of innovation and patient-centered care.
• Collaboration & Relationship Building: Partner with hospital and medical group leadership, physicians, advanced practitioners, faculty, and staff to enhance care delivery and strengthen community engagement.
• Recruitment & Development: Focus on attracting and mentoring a diverse and talented workforce that reflects the communities served, while overseeing the recruitment and training of OB/GYN professionals.
• Service Line Leadership: Manage and expand the Women and Children Service Line, with an emphasis on improving patient outcomes enhancing the overall patient experience, optimizing access to care, provider productivity, clinical documentation and coding, and the financial performance of the Department.
• Academic & Clinical Growth: Support faculty development and scholarly activity, while promoting educational excellence through residency and academic programs.

Qualifications:

• Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in senior leadership roles in large healthcare organizations, with a strong background in clinical services and administration.
• Commitment to Excellence: A history of delivering high-quality clinical care, advancing scholarly work, and prioritizing patient-centered healthcare practices.
• Credentials: M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree, board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology, eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, and qualifications for an academic appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine.
• Collaborative Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead diverse teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and navigate the complexities of a large healthcare environment.
