AtlantiCare—southeastern New Jersey’s largest healthcare system and home to the region’s only Level II Trauma Center—is seeking an exceptional Chief of Gastroenterology to build and lead a brand-new academic division based in vibrant Atlantic City.

This is your chance to design a premier GI program from the ground up, in partnership with a new medical school and collaborate with Drexel University’s academic community. You’ll be the driving force behind a transformative initiative that will elevate care across Atlantic, Ocean, and Cape May Counties—with the full support of a health system known for innovation and excellence.

• Develop and lead an academic GI division that blends clinical excellence, education, and research
• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of faculty, fellows, and staff
• Expand advanced GI services, including endoscopy and inpatient/outpatient care
• Serve as a hands-on leader—rounding, consulting, and managing complex GI cases
• Drive strategic growth for the GI service line in collaboration with system leadership
