In this highly visible role, the Controller provides Financial/Accounting support for the BD DS business, specifically in Quebec, Canada. This includes providing financial support and leadership to Finance and Operations leaders, playing a key role in establishing and achieving financial objectives and formulating and executing Operations strategies.

You will be responsible for maintaining accounting and reporting procedures resulting in accurate product costs and manufacturing performance reporting and ensures product inventories and manufacturing assets are adequately safeguarded and financial reporting. You will occasionally interact with Global Marketing, Research and Development, and other General & Administrative functions. Drives change, as needed, to ensure compliance to GAAP/SOX, reviewing and delivering recommendations for continuous improvement, and clearly communicating relevant fiscal information to executive management.

Responsabilités

Supervise toute la planification, les rapports et l'analyse du coût standard des produits, des écarts de fabrication, des stocks et de leurs composants. Incluant:

  • L'Ă©laboration de coĂ»ts standards
  • L'entretien des immobilisations
  • S'assurer que les rĂ©serves sont calculĂ©es de manière appropriĂ©e
  • S'assurer que les performances de fabrication sont rapportĂ©es avec prĂ©cision
  • Collabore avec les directeurs de fabrication et l'ESC de l'usine pour optimiser les dĂ©cisions opĂ©rationnelles liĂ©es aux finances, assurer une rigueur financière/comptable appropriĂ©e, introduire une discipline de processus au besoin et protĂ©ger les actifs de l'entreprise
  • Favorise l'amĂ©lioration financière continue grâce au GP Task Force et Ă  BD Excellence, Ă  l'analyse de la marge brute, Ă  l'analyse des stocks, Ă  l'analyse des nouveaux produits et des abandons et Ă  l'analyse des dĂ©penses.
  • Veiller Ă  ce que les rapports et les Ă©tats financiers soient prĂ©parĂ©s conformĂ©ment aux politiques financières US GAAP et BD
  • Veille Ă  ce que les contrĂ´les financiers soient maintenus et que les exigences de la loi Sarbanes/Oxley soient respectĂ©es
  • Aide les auditeurs internes et externes dans leur examen pĂ©riodique des dossiers financiers de BD Diagnostic Systems.
  • Est Ă©galement responsable de la mise en Ĺ“uvre des recommandations convenues, liĂ©es aux domaines de responsabilitĂ©, rĂ©sultant des conclusions de l'audit
  • Effectue d'autres tâches et tâches connexes au besoin

Qualifications minimales

Éducation et expérience

  • Plus de 7 ans d'expĂ©rience pertinente et progressive en comptabilitĂ©/finance dans un environnement manufacturier : opĂ©rations de fabrication, calcul des coĂ»ts des produits, Ă©carts de fabrication et contrĂ´le des stocks, analyse financière et expĂ©rience en matière de budgĂ©tisation et de prĂ©vision requises
  • BaccalaurĂ©at en comptabilitĂ© ou en finance
  • Un CPA, un MBA ou un CMA est prĂ©fĂ©rable

  • OpĂ©rations de fabrication
  • Chiffrement des produits
  • Écarts de fabrication et le contrĂ´le des stocks
  • Analyse financière
  • ExpĂ©rience en matière de budgĂ©tisation et de prĂ©visions
  • CapacitĂ© avĂ©rĂ©e Ă  diriger et Ă  servir en tant que membre efficace d'une Ă©quipe dans une grande organisation, notamment en planifiant, en dĂ©veloppant, en organisant, en dirigeant, en gĂ©rant et en Ă©valuant le personnel

Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes

  • PossĂ©der une expĂ©rience dĂ©montrant la gestion de niveaux croissants de responsabilitĂ©, des partenariats commerciaux rĂ©ussis Ă  un niveau supĂ©rieur et la direction d'Ă©quipes interfonctionnelles
  • CapacitĂ© dĂ©montrĂ©e Ă  amĂ©liorer les contrĂ´les et Ă  influencer les dĂ©cisions grâce Ă  des connaissances en comptabilitĂ© et Ă  une analyse financière basĂ©e sur les donnĂ©es
  • Doit maĂ®triser parfaitement Microsoft Excel (tableaux croisĂ©s dynamiques, macros, RECHERCHEV, etc.)
  • Une expĂ©rience ERP est nĂ©cessaire ; plus prĂ©cisĂ©ment, une expĂ©rience SAP est prĂ©fĂ©rable
  • Excellentes compĂ©tences interpersonnelles, capacitĂ© de bien communiquer avec la direction de tous les niveaux
  • Connaissance des politiques et des procĂ©dures comptables d'entreprise
  • Autonome, proactif et recherche l'amĂ©lioration continue
  • CapacitĂ© de travailler de manière indĂ©pendante dans un environnement matriciel et stimulant en Ă©volution rapide, avec une grande attention aux dĂ©tails
