Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to own platform campaign planning and reporting and partner reports and insights. This role collaborates closely with editorial, sales, and operations. 

This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days in the office at the Philadelphia location. It is a W-2 hourly contract lasting 6+ months, with the possibility of a long-term extension. Open only for GC/US Citizens, NO C2C or H1B/H4 EAD/OPT

The hourly rate is $ 50/hr. – $ 56/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, training, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct advanced analysis based on provided requirements, utilizing extremely large datasets.
  • Assist management in shaping methodology and baselining, showing independence for projects that are a refresh or similar in scope to past team projects.
  • Leverage visualization tools like Looker and Tableau to analyze and maintain reports on average views, traffic, clicks, etc.
  • Modeling - Utilize Excel to model the current trends.
  • Works closely with Sales and Marketing and Programming teams – staying on top of trends and building in pricing to models. Building their own dashboards.
  • Gather data through advanced SQL while querying across multiple platforms and demonstrate an understanding pf what is necessary for scripts to return relevant data while maintaining performance tuning and best practices.
  • Demonstrate ownership in data gathering source choices and methodology as the SME for common SOT sources.
  • Execute validation checks, including data element inconsistencies, working with leadership to design and implement solutions.
  • Check against standard business trends to identify outliers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify key points and call out deeper insights, or tie to other visuals, and how it relates to business performance through written communication within the analysis.
  • Develop appropriate visuals to ensure the story is conveyed, with the ability to add in multi-dimensional views beyond the standard and recommend product output and design best suited to meet business and stakeholder needs.
  • Review and polish analysis through iterative development, focusing on word choice, grammar, and brand standards as well as seeking out and participating in peer reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with large data sets. 
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL/Teradata and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Looker and Tableau for visualizing and analyzing data related to average views, traffic, clicks, and other relevant metrics. Ability to identify and track trends beyond standard metrics.
  • Advanced Excel skills for modeling current trends and scenarios.
  • Experience in collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Programming teams to integrate pricing strategies into analytical models and dashboards.
  • Proven ability to create insightful data visualizations, develop dashboards, and automate reporting processes for stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of leveraging data to drive business decisions.
  • Blend of programming acumen and understanding of sales operations.
  • Familiarity with Freewheel or similar platforms for ad operations and revenue management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Python/R/Data Modeling is a plus.
