ChargePoint is looking for a creative and versatile Data Science Intern to support creation of key data connections to streamline analyses that help ensure our EV Charging stations meet all performance and quality requirements. This intern will participate in establishing data pipelines, analysis of field and test data, and creating critical data dashboards needed for improved assessment of product quality. To succeed, this intern must have both strong theoretical and practical skills with an ability to thrive as an innovator in a rapidly evolving company and marketplace.

Manager, Product Engineering

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present result drivers.
• Support building a scalable full stack data pipeline to aggregate diagnostics & service data to monitor systems’ status in the field.
• Design/develop new systems/methods in partnership with SW engineers to enable quick & easy consumption of data. Building tools to automate data collection and presentation.
• Standardize data formatting to make it more appropriate for analysis.
• Searching through large data sets for relevant information.

• Relevant coursework and/or experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, data science & ML

• Fundamental understanding of SQL, RDBMS databases and big data solutions
• Familiarity with basic statistical techniques for prediction and optimization
• Experience with data viz & business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, MS Power BI, etc.)
• Ability to create dashboards.
• Experience working with data in Apache Spark/Hadoop Python and SQL.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering with Python.
• Understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts.
• Experience manipulating data sets through statistical software (ex. R, SAS) or other methods.
• Experience with Data Modeling. Fundamental understanding of data analytics, science and ML. Experience analyzing big data & building data solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail.

• Familiarity with cloud computing and data ecosystem in AWS
• Experience with more than one coding language.
• Designing and implementing real-time pipelines.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $25 to $30. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable.
