Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is looking for an Electrical or I&C Technician to join the new Singrobo-Ahouaty Hydro Power Plant, about 2 hours north-west of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

As an Electrical / I&C Technician you will work as part of the GE Vernova maintenance team under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer and will be responsible for executing electrical and I&C related maintenance activities for GE Vernova's scope in the Power Plant.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the maintenance of the electrical and I&C systems at the power plant.

• Execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities according to the instructions of the Electrical Engineer in coordination with the Operation team and the mechanical maintenance team
• Troubleshooting on motors, drives and transformers, LV and HV equipment.
• Condition monitoring on Electrical systems.
• Support to the operation team in identifying deviations and malfunctions in electrical equipment
• Work under strict EHS guidelines

• Professional Electrical qualification/certificate.
• Basic knowledge and experience working with pumps, blowers, low voltage systems, generators, UPS, control systems and AC systems.
• Previous experience working in maintenance of power generation plants or equivalent facilities in the Electrical field.
• Fluent French, English is and advantage.
• Capable to work in confined spaces or work at heights.
• Strong safety culture, hands on approach.
