Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Controller is responsible for driving high quality financial reporting and accounting practices combined with a strong control environment; playing a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Manager to achieve financial objectives across controllership, compliance excellence and business partnering. The role provides the opportunity to work with diverse cross-functional teams in the wider Collins Aerospace and RTX team; providing assurance in financial reporting to achieve stated objectives and form part of the decision-making process.Primary responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end financial reporting process, including preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage treasury and cashflow requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal control and corporate policies in a SOX environment.
- Develop and maintain robust financial processes, controls and systems.
- Provide coaching support for a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support commercial insight to ensure alignment to short- and long-term strategic goals.
Essential
- Well-developed clear and concise communications skills (both verbally and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work with diverse teams
- Strong technical accounting and internal controls knowledge and experience (SOX compliance / US GAAP and IFRS highly desirable)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Big 4 or audit/assurance experience
- Treasury / cash management experience
- SAP knowledge or experience
- Defense or project accounting background
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization
- Excellent time management skills.
