Geriatrician

Requirements: 

• MD or DO candidates only
• Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency completion required from an accredited ACGME program
• Fellowship in Geriatrics completion from an accredited program is preferred; physicians with experience, expertise and focus in Geriatrics will be considered.
• Board certified by ABFM or ABIM required (with added qualification in Geriatric Medicine ideal)
• Texas license required

About the position:

• Employed position by Texas Health Physicians Group, including competitive salary and benefits.
• Practice on the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth campus, a Level I Trauma hospital.
• Join our hospitalist group of over 90 providers and practice at our largest Texas Health facility.
• Provider schedule is 7AM-7PM days, 182 shifts per year.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is our flagship facility serving a population of over 2.5 million. Located in the Medical District, Texas Health Fort Worth is a regional referral center for 26 counties, with transfers and referrals from as far away as El Paso, Texas and parts of Oklahoma. It has a census of about 600 patients per day and 27 ORs. This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and has a robust emergency department with more than 90,000 visits and an active call schedule.
