Pay Range: $18-$21 Hourly

Bumperactive.com Custom Stickers + Tees is hiring (1) experienced, detail oriented designer for our Graphic Design department!
Bumperactive is a Progressive and Union (Communications Workers of America Local #6132) print shop in North Austin. While we are a full-service retail printer for anyone who needs top-quality custom stickers, tees, signs and other promotional products, our largest business area focuses on building and administering print-on-demand online storefronts for a wide range of clients, from political campaigns, community organizations and podcasts.Job Summary
At the Associate Level II, designers are expected to apply their design and production knowledge to create compelling visuals for print and digital applications. This role includes preparing artwork for screen printing and other print methods, producing product mockups for proofs, and collaborating across departments to ensure smooth production workflows. Ideal candidates have a deep understanding of print-ready file prep, garment decoration methods, and client communication.Essential Functions, Daily Duties & Responsibilities:
• Communicate with clients to understand project goals and translate them into effective visual concepts
• Create realistic product mockups for customer approval
• Manage customer feedback and revisions throughout the proofing process
• Prepare accurate, productionready artwork for screen printing, DTG, sublimation, and other print methods
• Apply knowledge of garment types, ink behavior, and screen printing techniques to enhance artwork outcomes
• Design visually striking graphics for apparel, merchandise, and promotional campaigns
• Coordinate with production, customer service, and fulfillment teams to meet project requirements and deadlines
• Stay up to date on industry trends and current events that inform relevant and timely design work
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, design team lead and fellow designers on special projects
• Log time accurately on client projects for internal tracking
• Demonstrate initiative by taking ownership of projects and contributing new ideas
• Ensure all creative aligns with brand standards and print specificationsRequired Skills and Abilities:
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (screen print separations experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and layout with a focus on apparel graphics
• Familiarity with spot color separations, halftones, underbase setup, and registration in a production environment
• Ability to translate customer ideas into clean, printable artwork
• Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and product mockup generation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and ability to selfproof for common prepress errors
• Capable of balancing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fastpaced environment
• Experience collaborating with press operators, production managers, or fulfillment teams
• Working knowledge of HTML and digital asset formatting is a plus
• Illustration skills are a bonusJob Type:Full-time

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Graphic Design or related field
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals and apparelfocused work
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the screen printing or garment decoration industryWork Environment:
