Job Description Summary
The Identity Management Architect is responsible for providing operational and project leadership for an enterprise Active Directory environment. The role is required to have expert technical knowledge and understanding of Active Directory including experience supporting large-scale and highly complex environments.
Job Description
• Architecting an enterprise class on-premise and Azure Active Directory environment
• Establishing Azure Active Directory as the primary system for all identities
• Plan and implement low to highly complex changes to the environment
• Participate as a team member on projects involving identity management
• Management of Group Policy policies for on-premise Active Directory and Intune
• Oversee responsibilities such as domain controller promotion and demotion, organizational unit setup and delegation of administration, group policy creation and modification, administration of AD sites, subnets and site links, and schema changes to ensure that meet or exceed industry best practices
• Analyze data and identify trends to facilitate root cause analysis and identify opportunities for service improvement
• Ensure the security and compliance of the Active Directory environment
• Create and update standard operating procedure documentation
• Manage the backup and restore of Active Directory
• Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring and maintenance to ensure high availability and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement
• Lead the consolidation and decommission of active directory domains
• Facilitate the proliferation of Single Sign-on (SSO) for cloud-based applications
Required Skills and Education
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with Active Directory
- Must have enterprise experience, domain trusts between multiple domains, ADFS and PowerShell
- Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), strong experience with Active Directory domain trusts
- Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory
- Visual Basic scripting, PowerShell
- Domain controller health (analysis of replication partners in the enterprise, etc.)
- Group Policy Preferences (replacing login scripts, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows Azure, AWS or other public Cloud technologies
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or an equivalent certification
