Junior Buyer

The incumbent of the position is responsible to run all local purchasing activities related to direct raw material for Connection Systems Tangier.

The incumbent belongs to the EMEA Purchasing Operations Team, acting as interface within purchasing as well as to other functions.

The holder of this position reports to the local Senior Buyer.

Your Role:

• Acting as APTIV purchasing representative to external suppliers for plant related activities
• Representing APTIV purchasing in local project teams to ensure early involvement (new project launches, business transfers, engineering changes etc.)
• SAP data management (such as Creation and maintenance of Schedule Agreements, purchase orders etc. / Master Data Maintenance (Vendor & Pricing Management) / New Vendor creation)
• Maintaining oversight and ensure clarification on blocked invoices, working with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting Operations in case of delivery issues with APTIV suppliers
• Preparing the annual budget for direct production material
• Active support to meet local cost reduction targets
• Ensure that all local Purchasing activities are carried out according to Company Procedures and legal regulations
• Occasionally support and coordinate with regional indirect team for purchasing activities regarding local operations
• Supporting regional and global purchasing teams to ensure functional targets are reached and strategies are executed
• Ensure timely raw material availability for new launches through consistent follow-up of system readiness and material availability, meeting internal and external customer milestones
• Provide management reports and key performance data

Your Background:

• Master's Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position in procurement, preferably in the automotive sector
• Fluent in English and French
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Project Management skills. Engineering affinity or background considered as a plus
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel) and SAP
• Disciplined and assertive, high level of commitment and independent working style
• Open mindset and willingness to learn
