Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

Lamination:

  • Operate lamination and slitting machines (Gravure, Spray, Heat).
  • Perform inspection and splicing out of defects in rolls.
  • Comply with equipment line setup checklist and procedures.
  • Pull raw materials to run machines, set up equipment and verify coat weights.
  • Potential for running fine-fiber process.
  • Slitting materials, rewinding, bag and labeling for final shipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance of machinery to keep in top operating condition.
  • Maintains a well-organized and clean work area.

Prototype:

  • Work with engineers to build prototype filters.
  • Operate manual steel ruled, die-cut clicker press.
  • Hand assembly.

Basic Qualifications: (Education and yrs of experience)

  • Minimum High school degree or equivalent. 
  • Basic computer skills to enter lot #’s and inventory transfers of materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience (machine operation)
  • Experience with ERP software for inventory accuracy.
  • Experience working with manual and automatic tension controls.
  • Produce product with high quality and cleanliness requirements.
  • Experience working with PTFEs, SCRIMs, Carbons.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Technical Competencies:

  • High mechanical aptitude operating lamination equipment.
  • Experience working with manual and automatic tension controls.
  • GD&T experience. Ability to read and decipher blueprints or product drawings.
  • Experience working with web-handling on PTFE’s, SCRIM’s and Carbon rolls.
  • Learn and follow EN standards for various laminated materials.

Non-Technical Competencies:

  • Problem solving skills.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external personnel to ensure overall objectives are met.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
