Logistics Associate

Role

Logistics Associates are responsible for various tasks related to preparing, staging, and organizing the inventory of vehicles on the Carvana lot. 

As a loader, you will be loading the 9 car haulers that we transport our vehicles with. You will look over the cars and determine the correct positioning for each one on the trailer based on weight and vehicle size. Then strap them down per DOT regulations.

- Very physical job: 500 steps to get around the Hauler, unloading, loading, bending, kneeling, strapping down 36 tires, up and down the ladders multiple times in a load and working in all types of weather. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, compliant with Company guidelines.
• Ability to operate a computer and company issued tablet and mobile devices.
• Ability to work as a team player and interact with customers, managers and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to frequently and safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to work variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Physical Working Conditions

Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75’; regularly climb ladders and ramps of up to 10’; regularly work up to 10’ above ground; continually sit or stand for 10 hours; regularly push, pull and lift 20 lbs, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, dusty, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions such as: rain, snow, heat, etc.
