The Opportunity
This position works out of the corporate headquarters at Abbott Park, Illinois in the Legal & OEC Operations department.
As the Global Transparency Reporting Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee the periodic reporting process to ensure the external Health Care Provider/Organization sunshine reports meet obligations. This role will require working with considerable data from multiple sources, managing tasks, and driving cross-functional Stakeholders to meet obligations correctly and on time. As resources permit, the role will also support establishing transparency processes for new jurisdictions.
What You'll Work On
- Work with transparency data and technology
- Connect and review data provided by affiliates and source systems to identify and resolve data quality inconsistency and potential flaws.
- Analyze technical issues that may occur with the Ops' processes such as loading transactional data, managing customer master data, and producing reports.
- Oversee data capture and transformation from Abbott finance systems to transparency database.
- Manage processes and projects
- Produce and analyze periodic transparency reports.
- Track and log activities performed in connection with preparing reports and managing data.
- Provide subject matter expertise, create content, and drive consistency transparency training and internal communications. Establish schedules and plan for data collection, data quality review, and external report submission.
- Establish transparency processes for new jurisdictions.
- Assist the Director of Transparency reporting in driving the global transparency program.
- Interact with Stakeholders
- Hold local transparency leads and data collectors accountable to timelines and obligations, escalating to management where necessary.
- Train and provide guidance to affiliate Transparency Leads on data collection requirements and in loading data to Ops' database.
- Partner with affiliate transparency teams regarding process improvements.
- Liaison with Abbott BTS and system vendor on system issues.
- Coordinate work of supervisors and contractors.
- Create summaries for management.
- Recommend and follow-up on compliance deviations.
Required Qualifications
- General Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- No previous global transparency knowledge necessary.
- Data / Technology Skills
- Experience working with disparate sources of data and provide guidance on problems.
- Ability to thoroughly understand the transformation of data as it moves from source systems to external reports.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, using VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, or INDEX MATCH, to connect data and using formulas and pivot tables to analyze the data.
- High degree of comfort learning new technologies and tools.
- Tasks / People Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure compliance from cross-functional teams, with a comfort working with tight timelines and making decisions based on risk.
- Consistent and strong attention to detail, good judgement, and strong time management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to provide management with summaries of relevant information.
- Ability to provide guidance and training to Affiliates on operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- General Education and Experience
- Masters or J.D.
- 3+ Years of experience.
- Data / Technology Skills
- Previous experience connecting and manipulating disparate sources of data in order to analyze data to troubleshoot problems, identify potential issues, execute solutions, and provide insight.
- Experience manipulating data using some of the following tools is highly desirable:
- SQL to join and aggregate data.
- Power BI, QLIK, or Tableau to link and view data.
- Precisely D360 Analyze with Python to view and transform data.
- Experience connecting and analyzing transactional data, master data (for people and organizations), and reference data.
- Tasks / People Skills
- Project management experience on cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing transparency programs.

The base pay for this position is
$90,700.00 - $181,300.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
