Marketing Communications Specialist

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for creating impactful content, executing marketing communication strategies, and supporting event logistics to enhance the company's brand presence and engagement with target audiences.

This role involves collaborating across sales, product management, customer support and marketing teams to craft compelling messaging, manage digital content, and assist in organising successful events that promote Grid Automation's solutions, products, services, and mission.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Management:

• Develop, write, and edit a variety of marketing materials, including blog posts, internal and external newsletters, social media content, press releases, website content, case studies, and support product marketing on product collateral.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create content that aligns with brand messaging, voice, and target audience needs.
• Manage digital content strategy, ensuring consistency in tone and style across various platforms and adherence to SEO best practices.
• Support graphic design efforts by creating briefs for creative assets like infographics, videos, and digital ads.

Event Logistics Support:

• Coordinate logistics for marketing events, such as webinars, industry shows, user conferences, including venue selection, vendor management, budget tracking, and on-site coordination.
• Manage registration processes, attendee communications, and promotional materials for events.
• Collaborate with the cross functional teams to ensure brand consistency and cohesive attendee experiences, including coordinating booth setup, tech equipment, and event signage.
• Assist in post-event follow-up activities, such as surveys, feedback collection, and analytics reporting.

Brand and Messaging Consistency:

• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all content and communications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Support the development of brand messaging, value propositions, and positioning statements that differentiate Grid Automation in the market.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner with the sales, product, and customer support teams to align content with business goals and customer needs.
• Work closely with the design and web teams to implement updates on digital assets and optimize the user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• Demonstrated years of experience in marketing communications, content creation, or event coordination.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems (CMS).
• Experience with event planning, logistics, and vendor management.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
