- Assemble Life Raft Components: Skillfully build both large and small components of life rafts using a diverse range of materials.
- Quality Documentation: Meticulously document each step of the assembly process, including required signatures, to ensure strict quality assurance.
- Adhere to Quality Standards: Follow all quality procedures and maintain accurate documentation to uphold production standards.
- Material Bonding: Securely bond materials using adhesives, ensuring strong and durable connections.
- Quality and Safety Commitment: Consistently maintain high levels of quality in all tasks while ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others by correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse team, fostering clear communication and collaboration to meet production goals.
- Production Environment: Spend 100% of your time on the production floor, adjusting to varying noise levels.
- Chemical Exposure: Work daily with constant exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Glove Usage: Wear gloves, including latex, to protect your hands while handling production chemicals.
- Tool Manipulation: Competently use and manipulate various tools and materials, such as clamps, brushes, pushers, scissors, seam tape, and talc, even with gloves on.
- Material Handling: Safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds independently.
- Machinery Safety: Minimize exposure to machinery with moving parts, prioritizing personal safety during operations.
- PPE Compliance: Consistently wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language effectively to ensure clear communication and comprehension of safety protocols, work instructions, and documentation requirements.
- Work Schedule Flexibility: Be prepared to work weekends and overtime as required to meet production demands.
- HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
